CN Resource (CNR) is proud to announce that it has been selected by the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development (DEED), Division of Child Nutrition Programs, to conduct Administrative and Program Reviews (ARs) for federally funded child nutrition programs administered by sponsors across the state. The award follows a competitive Request for Proposals process in which CNR was identified as the highest-scoring offeror. The contract, effective April 2026 through September 2027 with up to four renewal options, covers the full range of USDA child nutrition program reviews required by DEED including National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) Administrative Reviews, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) compliance and financial reviews, Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) reviews, Local Agency Procurement Reviews (LAPR), and annual reporting support for DEED.CNR has been completing child nutrition reviews in Alaska for several years, bringing direct knowledge of the state's unique geographic and operational landscape. Reviews are conducted across all regions of Alaska, including communities accessible only by small aircraft, and CNR's team is experienced in navigating the travel planning and logistical coordination that Alaska demands. That first-hand experience was a meaningful part of CNR's proposal and reflects the firm's commitment to treating Alaska not as an outlier, but as a priority."We are honored to continue and expand our partnership with Alaska DEED," said Lindsay Healy, President of CN Resource. "This contract reflects the trust DEED has placed in our team, and we take that seriously. Alaska's sponsors, from urban school districts to remote tribal schools and residential child care institutions, deserve rigorous, consistent, and respectful reviews. That is exactly what we are here to deliver."A unique element of this contract is the annual review of the Alaska Meals to You SFSP sponsor, a direct home-delivery meal service that ships boxes of shelf-stable meals to children in rural communities during the summer, including an on-site visit to the packaging and shipping facility. This award adds to CNR's growing portfolio of multi-program state contracts, which currently spans more than 25 states and includes long-standing partnerships with state agencies in Florida, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, and others. CNR has completed over 2,500 child nutrition reviews in the past five years alone and holds the distinction of having conducted more child nutrition reviews for more state agencies than any other firm in the United States."Alaska is a uniquely challenging and uniquely rewarding place to work," added Rich Crandall, Chairman and Founder of CN Resource. "The geography, the diversity of sponsors, the communities these programs serve, it all matters. We are proud to be part of the team working to make sure Alaska's children have access to the nutrition programs they deserve."
