The Hawaii Department of Education has awarded CN Resource two separate multi-year contracts to conduct Administrative Reviews for both the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Contracts were executed in February 2026, with review activities beginning shortly thereafter.Under the multi-year NSLP agreement, CN Resource will conduct Administrative Reviews for public, private, and charter school sponsors across all Hawaiian islands. The work will include comprehensive evaluations of program operations, meal pattern compliance, fiscal accountability, procurement practices, and overall adherence to federal requirements. CN Resource has previously completed NSLP Administrative Reviews in the State of Hawaii, providing continuity, familiarity with local operations, and a strong foundation for efficient implementation. The separate multi-year CACFP contract focuses specifically on the review of multi-site sponsors operating throughout the state. These reviews will assess sponsor oversight systems, monitoring processes, meal service compliance, and financial management to ensure program integrity and effective administration across multiple locations.“We are pleased to once again be working with the Hawaii Department of Education,” said Rich Crandall, Chairman of CN Resource. “The leadership of the Hawaii Department of Child Nutrition Programs brings decades of experience administering NSLP, CACFP, and SFSP. We are honored to partner with such a knowledgeable team to support sponsor oversight, strengthen best practices, and ensure continued program compliance statewide.”Through these dual engagements, CN Resource will work collaboratively with Hawaii DOE leadership to promote accountability, transparency, and operational excellence — helping ensure that children and families across Hawaii continue to receive access to high-quality, nutritious meals.
