What is a National School Lunch Program Administrative Review?
A comprehensive review of school meal programs consisting of 4, and sometimes 5 reviews, rolled into one.
Off-Site Review
The Administrative Review (AR) begins with an examination of the documents you submit to the review team.
Menu Review
One week of breakfast and lunch menus, production records, and supporting documentation will be reviewed for compliance with USDA nutrition standards.
Resource Management Review
A review of four areas that are key to the financial health of the nonprofit school foodservice account.
On-Site Review
An observation specialist will visit the selected schools and observe the meal programs as the meals are being served to students.

- 01Quality AssuranceEvery review undergoes a detailed quality assurance process to verify accuracy, completeness, and alignment with state agency requirements.
- 02State ReviewWhen applicable, the completed review is submitted to the state agency for review and approval.
- 03Review ReportFollowing state approval, CN Resource provides the Administrative Review Report to the sponsor within 30 days of the exit conference.
- 04Corrective Action ResponseCN Resource partners with each sponsor to obtain, review, and approve a complete corrective action plan within 30 days of the Administrative Review Report.
- 05Review ClosureOnce all findings are resolved, CN Resource issues a closure letter, notifies the sponsor, and submits the full review documentation to the state agency.
